Building Talent Foundation (BTF) and Simpson Strong-Tie have created a strategic alliance to promote the growth of the home construction industry workforce in the United States.

Simpson Strong-Tie has joined BTF’s cross-sector coalition of employers and educators as an innovation partner. Simpson Strong-Tie is donating a total of $ 600,000 to the foundation as part of his commitment over the next three years. BTF has worked with everyone in the home construction industry to achieve measurable results for industry and communities.

“Collaboration is the way forward to build a sustainable homebuilding workforce for the future,” said Branka Minic, CEO of BTF. “We are delighted that BTF’s founding partners, KB Home and Ashton Woods, have put us in touch with Simpson Strong-Tie. Together, we can accelerate our goal of recruiting 100,000 new construction workers by 2030.

In October, BTF is coordinating a two-day event for students in the Dallas Independent School District’s Technical Vocational Education (CTE) program. Students will connect with industry leaders during a visit to the Simpson Strong-Tie factory in McKinney, Texas.

“Supporting the next generation of skilled trades talent is an important part of our commitment to our customers and our industry. We are excited to start working with Building Talent Foundation to help people find education, training and employment opportunities as they launch their careers in construction, ”said Karen Colonias, CEO of Simpson Strong -Tie.
