The 14th edition of Milipol Qatar 2022 kicks off on May 24

Doha: Under the patronage of Amir SA Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the 14th edition of Milipol Qatar, organized by the Ministry of Interior, will take place from May 24 to 26 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.

Milipol Qatar, the leading international homeland security and civil defense event in the Middle East, is launched amid growing demand for innovative solutions and advanced defense systems needed to meet the complex challenges facing the sector internal security.

The organizing committee expected Milipol Qatar 2022 to attract over 200 delegates and dignitaries from 40 countries.

Chairman of the Milipol Qatar Committee, Major General Nasser bin Fahd Al Thani, said that in light of growing security challenges, including mechanisms to respond to health threats such as the COVID-19 crisis, growing cyber risks and the geopolitical turmoil the world has witnessed recently, the 14th edition constitutes a pioneering appointment of innovation, supporting the aspirations and efforts of the sector to meet the immediate and future needs of decision-makers, security forces, technical executives and infrastructure developers.

There is no doubt that the current edition of the exhibition will be one of the most awaited meetings and will exceed the excellent results obtained by the previous edition, which established its position as one of the activities of internal security and most important civil protection in the region. , with the signing of contracts and agreements worth more than 390 million QR and the satisfaction rate of 82% of exhibitors, he pointed out.

For their part, the exhibitors expressed their aspiration to help meet Qatar’s needs in the areas of homeland security and civil defense, which are linked to the Qatar National Vision 2030, which allocates huge investments to projects infrastructure which, in turn, require advanced security solutions and local and international expertise.

The previous edition of the exhibition, held in March 2021, attracted more than 220 exhibitors from 17 countries with a new participation rate reaching more than 50% and the attendance of more than 8,000 visitors from 80 countries. .

Milipol Qatar organizers expect the 2022 edition to perform better, especially with the lifting of many restrictions on international travel.

The Milipol Qatar exhibition comes as the Middle East homeland security market is expected to grow 14.5% annually, over the forecast period between 2019 and 2025 , according to the Research Engine platform.
