Subhash Chand Gupta is appointed Chairman and Managing Director of Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Ltd.
Subhash Chand Gupta on Wednesday (April 20) took over as Chairman and Managing Director of Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Ltd. (MRVCL) on the morning of April 20, 2022.
Prior to joining MRVC, he was Director (Way & Works) of Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. Gupta is an Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) Officer with a Masters in Technology (Soil Mechanics & Foundation Engineering) from IIT Delhi.
Gupta is experienced in planning, monitoring and managing major railway infrastructure projects with over 30 years of professional experience in railway infrastructure in different roles. Under his command, he executed mega projects like Dedicated Freight Corridor, Udhampur Shrinagar Baramulla Rail Link Project, etc.
He Gupta has played a key role in the maintenance and renewal of civil engineering infrastructure (e.g. track, bridge, building, stations, etc.) as well as in the maintenance and operation of maintenance and renewal machinery tracks on Indian Railways.
Gupta has provided training to civil engineering officers of Indian Railways and civil servants of public/private sector companies, in the field of railway engineering.
He has worked extensively in the preparation, invitation, evaluation and management of various types of tenders including tenders, design and build tenders, tenders project management consultancy offers, etc.
