Rogers-O’Brien Construction inaugurates the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University

Rogers-O’Brien Construction is partnering with the architectural firm GFF for the renovation and expansion of EMS Cox School of Business

DALLAS, May 6, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Rogers-O’Brien Construction (RO) is delighted to officially open Southern Methodist University (EMS) Cox School of Business. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Friday, May 6 to celebrate the start of the capital project.

RO will complete approximately 157,000 square feet of renovations to the current Joseph M. Wylie Fincher building, the Trammell Crow Building and the Cary M. Maguire Building. In addition, a 63,000 square foot extension will be added to the existing buildings and connecting underground spaces.

The expansions and renovations will entail EMS into the next century of learning, with more dynamic and integrated learning spaces. Updates will include major technology improvements, “clustered classrooms” and event spaces. This project is part of EMS Burning campaign.

RO is delighted to partner with GFF, the reference architect, as well as a regular client, Southern Methodist University. The project is expected to be completed in 2024.
