With experts in Washington, DC buzzing with the definition, cost, and benefits of infrastructure, now is the perfect time to kick off a dedicated concrete and infrastructure podcast. After a successful preview at World of Concrete 2021, Rinker Materials®, a leading manufacturer of concrete pipe and related products, will launch the Rinker Pipecast with four live broadcasts on September 29-30 from the Nevada Chapter of the ‘American Public Works Association (APWA) Fall Conference. Several experts will participate in the inaugural broadcasts, including Megan Sizelove, PE, president of APWA Nevada and Deanne Gray, president-elect of APWA Nevada.
The Pipecast is hosted by industry experts Steve Nilforoushan and Stew Waller. Nilforoushan and Waller will discuss exciting topics with prominent guests from the world of civil engineering infrastructure. The monthly podcast targets public agencies, designers and entrepreneurs and Nilforoushan and Waller engaged in a solid discussion that is educational, entertaining and engaging.
Nilforoushan, Product Resource Specialist for Rinker, graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. His 25 years of experience and career spans private industry to public agencies, including engineering roles specializing in concrete and asphalt, geotechnics, road and highway design, and advanced drainage systems. He is president of the California Concrete Pipe Association and is actively involved with the American Concrete Pipe Association (ACPA), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), ASTM International and APWA.
Waller is a Senior Regional Engineer for Rinker and has over 36 years of experience training and supporting owners, architects, engineers, contractors and business groups in the design, installation and inspection of products and materials. construction. He holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and is a registered civil engineer in Arizona and New Mexico. Waller is a LEED Accredited Professional, is President of the Arizona Precast Concrete Pipe Association, Director of the Arizona APWA Board of Directors, and a Fellow of the American Society of Highway Engineers and ASCE.
