Mumbai – Ahmedabad High Speed ​​Train Project: In accordance with the Modi Government’s National Skills Development Program, the National High Speed ​​Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) conducts training programs for the civil engineering students of the investigative laboratory Geo Technical, which is being set up by Larsen & Toubro (L&T) in Surat City, Gujarat, for the Mumbai – Ahmedabad high speed train project.

The multinational conglomerate L&T is carrying out the civil works between Vapi and Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat. The next 508 km Mumbai – Ahmedabad high speed train project will be India’s first high speed train corridor. The high-speed train project, which will cover 12 stations in total, is being executed by the NHSRCL.

The geotechnical investigation laboratory is considered the largest geotechnical laboratory in Asia. The lab has generated employment opportunities for around 900 people (400 in the labs and 500 in the field), including technicians, engineers and skilled workers.

This geotechnical investigation laboratory is well equipped with advanced investigation equipment. The facility can perform up to 3,500 tests per day using 20 geotechnical engineers and 188 lab technicians, according to a statement released by the NHSRCL.
