The Purple Line has a new construction contract

The Maryland Board of Public Works approved a new $3.4 billion construction contract to complete the Purple Line, a cost increase of nearly 75%. Construction of the light rail line is expected to resume in the spring with an estimated completion date of fall 2026, more than four years behind schedule. (Katherine Shaver / Post. DC DMV allowing virtual hearings
