Mangaluru, October 23: The 10th and 11th graduation ceremonies of Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, Adyar, Mangaluru took place on the Sahyadri College campus on Saturday 23 October. Raman Madhok, Managing Director of Kahani Design Works Pvt Ltd and Suyog Shetty, CEO of Niveus Solutions were the guests of honor.

Dr Manjappa Sarathi, Director of R&D and Consulting, hosted the meeting and also shared an overview of Sahyadri with its history of growth since its inception. He expressed that this day will be one of the greatest days in Sahyadri’s history as we both have – the management professional and a technocrat congratulating the graduates.

While addressing the graduates, Suyog Shetty recalled the difficult situation over the past two years and how this pandemic has created opportunities in general, especially for engineering graduates, and congratulated them on graduating. from an institution as esteemed as the Sahyadri College. He urged graduates to focus on three things early in their careers: clarifying what you want to achieve, once you get the hang of it, start working on it, and finally, get the right experience on what you want to achieve. . .

Raman Madhok addressed the graduates referring to his 40 years of experience. He said, “As we have a large number of people to come and get us, there is an equal number of people to pull us down, hence the Mantra – ‘Design the life you love’.” He emphasized creativity by referring to a Venn diagram of the circle of wants and needs and the intersection of that is creativity. Before you go to sleep, do some soul-searching about what you’ve done and how many lives you’ve touched. Question things – “What if? And tackle the ever-changing landscape of the ecosystem around you. In his closing remarks, he encouraged graduates to seek advice, ask for feedback, and seek help to be successful. Sahyadri has endowed the students with their engineering degree, but it is their own attitude that makes them contribute to the world.

Engineering undergraduates who passed out in 2020 and 2021 were sworn in and received their degrees from Raman Madhok and Suyog Shetty. Dr. Nalini Rebello, Dean of Academics led the swearing-in ceremony.

VTU rank holders Asmath Sharmeen, first in civil engineering with 13 gold medals, Radhika Nayak M, second and Anuradha P Annigeri, seventh in the M Tech discipline of structural engineering (civil engineering) were congratulated.

Dr Rajesha S, Director of Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management gave the vote of thanks. Professor SS Balakrishna, Deputy Director, Professor Rashmi Bhandary, Dean – Internship, Dr Ravichandra KR, Dean – Industry Connect, Professor Ramesh KG, Dean – Strategic Planning, Devadas Hegde, Administrator and other heads of department were present.
