DC Kishtwar Conducts In-Depth Tour of Nagseni Block; inspects the progress of civil works at Keru HEP
Kishtwar, August 28: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Dr. DevanshYadav, on Sunday paid an in-depth tour of the Nagseni Block and provided an update on the progress of civil works and ongoing projects of the Keru Hydroelectric Power Project.
He was accompanied by ACR, Varunjeet Singh Charak; CDA, Atul Dutt Sharma; HOP Keru Project, Rajinder Prasad; GM CVPP Rakesh Dubey; Project Manager Patil Eng. Ltd Ramesh Thakur; AGM Rishi Sharma; Tehsildar Nagseni Majid Jahangir and BDO Nagseni Anjil Singh and others concerned.
During the visit, DC inspected the Keru Public Health Center (PHC) and provided an update on the health insurance facilities available to patients and infrastructure needs.
He also checked the outpatient register, the drug store and the gynecology department.
The necessary instructions have been given to the authorities concerned for the rationalization of the public health services in order to offer respite to the inhabitants/patients.
He also requested ACR to submit estimates of the required infrastructure and related logistical needs for the PHC to be met under the Keru HEP R&R plan within a limited time frame.
Later, he visited the Keru Hydropower Project site and chaired an interactive meeting with the project authorities and reviewed the work progress.
A host of issues and bottlenecks in addition to the main features of the project were discussed during the meeting to the hilt.
The DC stressed the need to focus on effective and timely implementation of the Resettlement and Rehabilitation (R&R) plan for the benefit of the project affecting families at the earliest.
He also visited the various construction sites and was informed of the implementation plan for this work by the authorities concerned.
En route, he also inspected the RDD works, including the soaking pits at Panchayat Bhagna-B.
He ordered the officials to abide by government guidelines while carrying out these works and make the initiative a great success.
Earlier, DC Kishtwar also visited Kishtwar District Hospital and gave an update on the functioning and the medical insurance facilities provided to the patients.
During the visit, the DC inspected various departments and sections of the hospital and provided an update on their operation. He also inquired about the availability of medicines, diagnostics and other facilities at the hospital and the services provided to patients.
The Medical Superintendent, Dr. Javeida Qazi briefed the DC on the position of the staff and the operation of the hospital.
The DC directed the hospital administration to maintain cleanliness in and around the hospital in accordance with SOPs and provide quality medical care facilities to patients without fail.
He also insisted on the proper use of human resources and serving patients with utmost dedication and sincerity.
Meanwhile, DC Kishtwar has ordered MS District Hospital Kishtwar to switch to digital reporting formats in Diagnostic and Laboratory Radiology (Ultrasound/X-Ray/CT Scan) reports.
In addition, he instructed relevant people to identify spaces for private services to improve hospitalization services and make use of existing building spaces.
The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Chander Prakash briefed the DC on the status and number of ambulances available in the district and the achievements made in Ayushman Bharat card registration.
The CMO was requested to expedite the completion of formalities for the rapid commissioning of newly received ambulances for the convenience of patients.
