Clarion man arrested, accused of taking $16,000 for construction job and never finishing the job

Kiski Township police say a Clarion man was arrested after allegedly taking thousands of dollars for a construction job and never completing the job. Police say David Patton, 67, received $16,000 to build a home along Old State Road in Kiski Township in the fall of 2021. Police say Patton took the money and never finished the job. A warrant for his arrest was issued after police said an elderly resident filed a police report in February. Police said Patton was taken into custody on Wednesday for home improvement fraud and theft by deception, two felonies. Patton’s preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday, April 27.
